SAFE Church
PROTECTING THE VULNERABLE
At Holy Trinity Anglican Zelienople, we take seriously our responsibility to safeguard the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of every person entrusted to our care—especially children and other vulnerable individuals. In a world where abuse and exploitation remain tragically common, even in the Church, we are committed to creating a culture of safety, transparency, and accountability. We believe that safety and faithfulness go hand in hand, and that strong safeguards are an expression of Christ’s care for the seemingly least and most vulnerable among us.
We follow the SAFE Church policies and training requirements of the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh. All clergy, staff, and volunteers who work with children or vulnerable adults are required to complete diocesan SAFE Church training and background checks and to abide by established best practices for care and supervision.

SHARED
RESPONSIBILITY
Protecting the vulnerable is not the responsibility of a few leaders alone. It is a shared commitment of the whole church. We ask all members and visitors to remain attentive and engaged in helping maintain a safe and healthy environment.
If you see something, say something.
If you observe or experience something that raises concern, we encourage you to speak with one of our church leaders. Concerns will be received and addressed with care, respect, and discretion.
REPORTING
CONCERNS
If a situation requires broader oversight or you are uncomfortable reporting a concern locally, you may contact the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh directly through their SAFE Church reporting process. Reports may be made confidentially, and whistleblowers are protected from retaliation.
